At last, 2020 is coming to an end.
This year leaves a harsh fallout as a global pandemic has fractured the very foundation of our families and communities.
Social distancing heightens our distress as we long for the loving connections so basic to our well-being. We feel shaken and isolated.
How can we maintain our spiritual moorings amid the challenges to every aspect of our lives and livelihoods?
For an answer to that difficult question, I’ve turned to a respected authority and beloved guide in all matters of the spirit.
Father Edward Beck, pictured with me here, is a Roman Catholic priest known to many of you for his books, plays, and commentary on CNN. He is a cherished mentor and one of my closest friends.
Edward leads us through his own spiritual detours this year. He talks about opportunities to notice the unnoticed and how he found inspiration and even the Divine during his “walk in the darkness.” He also answers our members’ questions and shares his hopes for 2021.
In the After Interview, I spoke with Woman on Fire member Cathi Nelson, who tells us of her own experiences as a spiritual seeker.
